My name is Mike Ogden. I have been taking photographs seriously for over 20 years now initially with film but moving across to digital imagery as the technology matured. Some of the images in this site go back to my earlier shots (but not many!)
My main themes are landscapes, seascapes and portraiture. Initially, my preference in landscapes was for the quiet and amazing light of early mornings, starting before dawn, and late in the evenings. While these remain a driver for me I have found that satisfying images can be made in all conditions, including pouring rain, when the landscape and the weather come together.
I have retired from managing major engineering projects and am focussing more on photography. I am looking for opportunities to help others get the most of their photography and welcome requests for support.
